A Question of Morals?
I never thought I’d agree so vehemently with the NY Post, but I guess there’s a first time for everything:
“NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Post endorsed Sen. Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination Wednesday, calling him an "untried candidate" but a preferable alternative to the newspaper's home state senator, Hillary Rodham Clinton. Clinton and her husband, the former president, "stand for deja vu all over again — a return to the opportunistic, scandal-scarred, morally muddled years of the almost infinitely self-indulgent Clinton co-presidency," the paper wrote. . . The Post endorsed Sen. Clinton's re-election bid in 2006, calling her a "pretty good senator." But the paper took a sharply different tone when weighing her prospects as a presidential candidate.
"A return to Senator Clinton's cattle-futures deal, Travelgate, Whitewater, Filegate, the Lincoln Bedroom Fire Sale, Pardongate — and the inevitable replay of the Monica Mess? No, thank you," the paper wrote.
Obama "has the ability to inspire," the paper added.”
I am truly an Obama girl, as you can tell from previous posts, and pretty much since I turned 18 I’ve been a staunch Democrat. But I guess since I’ve gotten older I’ve gotten a little more conservative… or maybe my moral compass has just gotten stronger. Either way, if it comes down to Hillary or McCain, I’ll be voting Republican for the first time in my life.

Here's what's going to happen, call me Nostradamus, or whatever that freak's name was. The Patriots are going to win the Superbowl to cap off their perfect season, but Gisele is still going to dump Tom Brady. After his 'perfect season superbowl victory' fame wears off, he will just seem like a cripple with a bum ankle to her. She will jet set with a new flavor of the moment.
John McCain will win the Republican nomination and the presidency. This will lead to more waste in the form of war spending, more pollution through continued deregulatoin of big corporate entities, more concentration on matters outside of the country/ rather than inside of the country which will continue the growing abondonement and desolation of our own, and the dumping of money and resources into foreign economies. Energy prices will continue to climb. The gulf between poor and rich will widen eliminating the middle class. World opinion of the USA will speed in its decline. Our debts to China, Abu Dabi, India, Saudi Arabia and others will grow, in fact, China already essentially owns this country, and its major banks. Citi Bank, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch were recently purchased by China and a few other nations. Everything we buy is virtually supplied by China, and we buy these things with money borrowed from them to fight our wars and stimulate our economy. China has bank rolled the wars in Iraq and Afganistan.
The United States economy has collapsed and the almighty dollar is crushed, we just have not admitted/realized that yet. This will drag and world economy into collapse, and this is exactly what needs to happen for the earth to survive and for us to survive on it. We need a new economy not based on the automobile/oil/gasoline/industry which is eating the planet and quickly on a path to make it uninhabitable for us. A new economy is already in the works and it will be about health/biomedics/nutrition/spirituality/peace/helping others- 'the meek shall inherit the earth...' the new earth shall be inherited by the meek/conscious/enlightened if we do make it through the hellish circumstances ahead due to many years of us unconscious humans ravaging the planet. Be present, be alert, stay in the now.
